MHS students express thier feelings on Mens Basketball this season

Middletown High School students were upset over the loss in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament of the Maryland Terrapins to the West Virginia Mountaineers in round of 32.

Unpopular among University of Maryland fans, the West Virginia Mountaineers win over the Maryland Terrapins was considered as an upset by many fans because of the Trepans’ end-of-season ranking over West Virginia.

It seems as if students are more concern with winning their brackets instead of rooting for their favorite college team.

“My very first reaction is that it will destroy many brackets,” said MHS junior Alyssa Klink.

MHS junior Nikki Dennison, among other Maryland fans were mad that they lost not because they lost the game but because they had Maryland “winning in [their] brackets.”

To some MHS students, it was not all about the brackets.

MHS junior Nick Rozak said he had a rough night trying to get over the loss.
