The Middletown High School Knights wrestling team will look to continue their strong start to the season, at South Carroll High School when they take on the Cavaliers on Dec. 18th.

The Knights are undefeated so far this year, going 8-0 at the Scorpion Duals at Oakland Mills High School winning the tournament for the first time since 2005, and then winning their first dual meet of the season against the Francis Scott Key High School Eagles on Dec. 11th by a score of 54-27.

Middletown has had great success from Danny Bertoni and Josh Grossnickle, both of whom won their weight class championships at the Scorpion Duals and then followed it up with victories by pin against the Eagles.

South Carroll is led by senior Jake Pontoon, who came in fourth at the 2012 1A/2A Wrestling State Championship last year, in the 170 lb. weight class.
