Attention to all students who would like to have fun, shop for cool things, work with kids, and help the environment at the same time, all while earning meritorious service hours. The Boonsboro GreenFest is Saturday, May 12th, and Mr. Haardt, that “hippie wannabe” needs volunteers to help. Please notice the GreenFest posters around campus. You can go to www.boonsborogreenfest.com to sign up. Please see Mr Haardt or Mr. Zimmer for details and questions. The deadline to sign-up is April 30th.  (4/29)
Students who plan to take the May fifth or June second SAT may want to take a prep course offered by Middletown High School on April twenty-eighth from eight to ten a.m.  Mrs. Larson will be teaching the English session, and Mrs. Anderson will teach the Math.  Sign up in Guidance if interested. (4/27)
Prom is quickly approaching and tickets will be on sale soon. The Dance guideline form must be completed before you may purchase a Prom ticket. Forms are available in the cafeteria, the media center or front office, or you may get one from Ms. Cashdollar or Mrs. Mattingly.
Attention all AP students taking AP exams the weeks of May 7 through May 17:
A required meeting for ALL AP students to complete a required bubble sheet is scheduled for April 24 during block 2. Students with the last names A-K will be called to the auditorium at 9:08 am and will return to class around 9:50.  Students with the last names L – Z will be called to the auditorium around 10:55 am and should bring their belongings as they will be dismissed from the auditorium to 3rd block. Students must bring a pencil and a book as a hard surface in order to fill out a required bubble sheet during the session. Students with scheduling conflicts such as CTC or work study must see Ms. Dillard or Ms. Jeffrey.  A make up session is scheduled for those students on April 26 at 2:30 in room 208. (4/23)
In recognition of Earth Day the MHS Student Committee of the PTSA will share an environmental service announcement each day they week.   Reduce your carbon footprint by leaving your car at home twice a week.  That can cut greenhouse emissions of carbon dioxide by 16,000 lbs per year.   Carpool with your friends to school or take the bus if you are not staying for after school activities.
All students are invited to Maryland – Explore Our World on Saturday, April twenty-eighth, from ten a.m. to four p.m. at the University of Maryland.   Maryland Day has something for everyone from elementary school age to adults.  More information is available in Guidance.
All students should be reminded that you must have your assigned lock on your locker.  A walk-through of the building yesterday revealed several unsecured lockers.  Also, when closing your locker, please be sure that the door closes completely.   Completely closing your locker means that you shut the door without pieces of clothing or backpack straps hanging out.  You are also asked not to kick the lockers to close them.
Interns are reminded that term 4 projects are due to Mr. Zimmer today.
The person who wakes up and finds themselves successful hasn’t been asleep.
