Did you know that more than one full year of a student’s K through 12 education is taught by substitute teachers? Often with little or no training, these exceptional educators fill a significant gap in the education of our students by standing in for absent teachers. The dedication of these substitutes in helping students learn plays an important role in the instruction of our youth and deserves our appreciation. Please join us in recognizing the outstanding efforts of substitute teachers in our community during National Substitute Teacher Recognition Week, May 2-6.
