It’s easier to run than stand, waiting there.
Waiting for something that won’t appear, won’t happen.
It’s just the way it is, sometimes things just don’t happen
no matter how long you wait for it.
It’s not worth waiting forever, something that won’t ever come.
Just waiting, waiting, and waiting. Move on.
Moving on, healing, stop waiting for disappointment.
Waiting for someone, something, to kill you,
bleed you dry until there’s nothing left.
You will die waiting there, so run.
Run as fast as you can
towards the opposite end of the tunnel, towards the opening
light, the opened cage.
There, the light at the other end of the tunnel, saves you.
You find something, maybe not what you were waiting for,
but you find something that changes your life.
Forever.
Even something little, or big, something, someone, living, non-
living. You find something, anything.
It changes you so deeply, you finally find something worthy,
meaningful.
You don’t have to run anymore; you can rest.
That doesn’t mean your journey is over though; your journey is never over.
Your journey will only be over if you give in to your never-
ending thoughts, flying back to that closed, locked cage.
