The waves roll in, crashing with our laughter
jellyfish blubbering through the moggy bay
We ran along the shore, chasing forever
and admire the sunset of our endless day.
Jellyfish drift in the afternoon light,
we build sandcastles with our plastic toys,
as the sunset colors remaining bright
laughter carried the wind, full of joy.
We play until our sandcastles shatter
and with the salty breeze of time,
the wind survives our laughter
until we fall asleep under the stars’ soft climb.
The salty breeze quickly blows away our youth
and as the waves roll in, crashing with our laughter
we watch the soft stars and search for our truth
endlessly running along the shore, chasing forever.
