Do you want to pie a teacher on Pie Day March fourteenth? Well, since the Science National Honor Society is extending the book drive one more week, now you can! If you donate twenty-five gently used or new books during your lunch shift, you will get the chance to pie either Mr. Bittner, Mrs. Headley, Mr. Burr, or Mr. Haardt, just to name a few! Remember, that’s twenty-five gently used or new books to be able to pie a teacher!

Attention Science National Honor Society members: There will be a meeting next Friday from two thirty to three o’clock in Ms. Brandt’s room.

Seniors: Share your talent at Baccalaureate! Be the M C or sing, dance, do a reading, or play an instrument. Look for the sign-up sheet on the senior bulletin board in the cafeteria and be sure to sign up by April first.

We’ve had some fabulous doors in the past thanks to Mr. Malafarina, Mrs. Lehman, Mr. Colsh, and Mrs. Baldovin-Jahrling.  Your door may reflect any literary work. It does not have to be related to Dr. Seuss. The judging of the doors will be Friday, March eighteenth at two thirty.

The Art and Poetry Contest has begun.  If you have an idea for an original Seussical Character or a poem modeled after Dr. Seuss’s style, see Ms. Leonard in Room 517 for information.

For the first time, the National English Honor Society is sponsoring a Poetry Slam Event on Thursday, March seventeenth at seven o’clock in the media center.  See Ms. Leonard for information.

Congratulations to Bethany Elliott who placed second in the Rotary Four-Way Speech Contest.  Bethany continues to move on to the district level.  We wish her the very best!
