The Knight golfers finished fifth in the Maryland State Championship Wednesday, with Freshman Jake Darr finishing in the top twenty.  The team ended the year with coach Aud’s best record yet at forty-six, three, and one.  The team also tied for first with Urbana in the conference. This will be remembered as one of the best seasons for Middletown golf, and Coach Aud would like to thank the golf team for a great year as he looks forward to the start of the season in 2013.

The Field Hockey team advanced to the third round of Regional playoffs on Thursday, defeating Rockville eight to zero. Scoring for the Knights were Ariel Ford and Sarah Mueller with two goals apiece, Kate Nelson, Hattie Leighton, Arianna Ogle, and Blake Gastley. The girls will travel to Damascus on Monday. Good luck Knights!

The girls cross country team placed third at yesterday’s Frederick County meet. Annie Noffsinger ran her best race of the year and was the team’s top runner, placing sixth. Natalie Smith was fifteenth, Esther Shafer finished eighteenth, Katie Breeeze twenty-first, and Mary Mulkerin twenty-third to round out the top five scorers.
