Are ready for Tuesday’s ALMOST PARADISE Spirit Day? “Almost Paradise” is the song Ren McCormick   who is played by Kevin Swann and Ariel Moore who is played by Annabel Afazali, sing to each other as they realize that they have found paradise in each other’s arms. The song was a big hit on eighties pop radio.

Attire for tomorrow’s spirit day is school appropriate Beach, Surf, and Tropical  Gear.

Remember to send your spirited selfies to @MHSDramaKnights with the hashtag #MHSFOOTLOOSE. At the end of the week the most spirited students’ names will be entered into a drawing for a free ticket to the show.

Come and cut loose with us Friday and Saturday at seven PM, and Sunday at two PM for the MHS production of “Footloose: The Musical”. Iit will be a rockin’ good show and tickets are sure to sell out quickly.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the Student Art Show and the Empty Bowls Banquet tomorrow at six PM in the MHS cafeteria. Here is a video about the Banquet.

Attention all NAHS members. There will be a brief mandatory NAHS meeting today after school in room 412.

Frederick County’s Law Day, on May third, allows students to observe legal proceedings in a courtroom as real cases are in session. Students can also meet with judges in an informal setting. If you are interested in attending or having questions, please see Ms Brennan in room 212 by Thursday, April twenty-first.

Tickets for the Prom go on sale today through Friday, April twenty-ninth during lunches. CTC and work study students may purchase tickets before or after school in room 430. All students must have a completed Dance Guideline Form to purchase tickets.

This past weekend Future Business Leaders of America members traveled to Hunt Valley Baltimore to compete at the sixtieth Annual State Leadership Conference.  Congratulations to all the member who completed. The following students placed:

Nic Bradley placed seventh in Public Speaking, Makhabat Omorova placed seventh in Business Communication; Natalie Pinto placed eighth in Healthcare Administration; Karly Costigan placed tenth in Insurance and Risk Management, Liam Cotera, Bryce Nissel, and Robert Prescott placed ninth in Management Decision Making and Joey Weiland placed fifth in Public Service Announcement.

A special Congratulation to the following members who qualified to attend the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta Georgia this summer: Joey Athey and Zach Peters placed fourth in Sports and Entertainment Management, Meredith Bertulaitis placed third in Business Calculations, Sarah Bruchey, Sarah Durham and Stephanie Letourneau placed second in Entrepreneurship and Erin Seagraves placed first in Business Communications.
