The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet Tuesday morning before school at 6:45 in Room 311. Everyone is welcome for a time of faith, fellowship, food, and fun. That’s tomorrow morning before school at 6:45.

Today at 3:00 is the last day to turn in National English Honor Society Applications, dues in the amount of $15.00, and a writing piece to Ms. Leonard in Room 510.

Students who are participating in the Young Author’s Writing Contest need to turn in their writing to Ms. Leonard no later than Dec.15.

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest is due to Ms. Leonard no later than Dec. 23. It must be submitted by a nominating teacher and must be postmarked by Jan.5. Please see Ms. Leonard for questions and clarification.

Only two more days until our school wide pizza party! The senior class is sponsoring a school wide spirit night at Ledo Pizza on Jefferson Street in Frederick from 4:00-8:00. After a delicious meal, be sure to mention MHS to your server and we will receive 20% of your bill. See you there!

The guys and girls track teams opened up the season at Hagerstown on Friday with several outstanding performances. Leading the way was Reilly Cauldwell who won the 32,000 in a near national qualifying time and Felicia Clements who won the high jump. Other notable performances were had by Reilly McDermont with the fastest times ever in the 800 and 1600 for a Freshman; Frederika Rentzeperis in the high jump, Eric Reichelt and Sam Benner in the shot put; and the girls 4×4 team consisting of Clements, Cauldwell, Megan Atkinson and Rachel Forbes.

The Knight wrestlers tied La Plata High School for the best record over two days at the 16th annual Scorpian Duals. Both teams ended the weekend with seven and one records. Champions crowned were Mark Guglielmini, Tucker Ziegler, Danny Bertoni, and Adam Bain. Placing second were Josh Grossnickle, Ethan Grossnickle, Joshua Paige, and Jacob Ridgely. Taking third were Will Davis and Sean Herrman. Congratulations to Mark Guglielmini for his 100th career win in high school!
