The February meeting of the Spanish Honor Society will be today at two thirty in Mr. Lupian’s room.

The Savannah College of Art and Design is visiting tomorrow at one o’clock. Students who are interested in attending should sign up through their naviance account.

Tickets for the CMC Championship Boys Basketball Game at Hood College will be on sale during all lunch shifts tomorrow. All tickets are five dollars. The game is scheduled for Tuesday night at seven PM against Linganore so come out tomorrow and support your knights!

The Middletown boys and girls swim teams participated in the 3A-2A-1A State Championships over the weekend.  Out of forty-three teams, the boys placed fifth and the girls placed fourteenth.

The top awarded finishers include Jacob Boone, Jacob Stafford, John Pressly and Tyler Sheppard who placed fifth in the two hundred medley relay;  John Pressly who is State Champion in the two hundred Freestyle and one hundred butterfly! Jacob Stafford placed sixth in the two hundred I.M. and fourth in the one hundred backstroke; Raegan Corcoran was sixth in the one hundred breaststroke, and the team of Jacob Stafford, Jacob Hoyt, Tyler Sheppard and John Pressly placed fifth in the four hundred freestyle relay.

Special congratulations to John Pressly for breaking his two school records: the two hundred freestyle with a time of one minute and forty four point ninety-one hundredths of a  second and the one hundred butterfly with a time of fifty two and twenty-one hundredths of a second! Way to go Knights!!

The Science National Honor Society is partnering with “Give A Book” to collect all types of gently used or new books that will benefit children and adults who are illiterate in the Frederick County area and other areas in the state of Maryland. The book drive starts today during all lunches and continues through Friday, March fourth. For every five books donated, your name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Brandt or Felicia Clements.

There will be a National Art Honor Society meeting on Wednesday, February twenty-fourth at two thirty in room 412. Please contact Ms. L if you cannot attend.

Congratulations to Bethany Elliott who has currently placed in the top four for the Rotary Four-Way Speech Contest!  Bethany will continue to compete as she moves toward the district level.

This week is National FFA Week, please help us celebrate. We have many spirit days and activities going on this week. Last week was Ag Week at the Mall, check out a few of the highlights.
