The Media Center will be closed after school today. After school tutoring will take place in room 515, Mrs. Clark’s classroom, from 2:30-3:30 PM.

Earth Fest is coming! In celebration of Earth Day, the TED Ed club is hosting Earth Fest — a festival that will include a trashion fashion show and other performances. Interested in designing your own outfit out of recycled trash? Or would you like to perform a special Earth Day song? How about feature a creative short film? See Ms. Weaver for more details. Earth Fest will be held after school on Friday, April 20th.

April is School Library Month. This year’s theme is “Making Connections at Your School Library.” Stop by the media center to pick up a puzzle piece to decorate to show how reading and/or the library has made an impact on your life. When you complete the puzzle piece, turn it into Ms. Weaver to be added to the Making Connections Puzzle! Keep an eye out for other School Library Month activities through the month of April!

In addition to being School Library Month. It is also National Poetry Month. Stop by the Media Center to check out all the awesome poetry on display!

Mark your calendars! The next Cocoa House will be held during Earth Week on April 19th during Knight’s Quest. See Ms. Weaver if you’re interested in performing–spots fill up fast!

Seniors: please share with your parents that planning for the 2018 Baccalaureate program is under way to be held on Sunday, May 27th and help is still needed. Also, be sure you or your parents submit a photo of yourself for the popular slideshow presentation that is always a highlight of the program. Senior speakers are also needed for the ceremony. Email your ability to help or photos to: [email protected] by the end of April. Photos should be of seniors only.

The boys lacrosse team won their game last night against Governor Thomas Johnson High School, 19-4. Luke Hallman lead the Knights with 6 goals and 2 assists, Roland Hockenberry won 17 of his 22 faceoffs, while Taylor Bromwell, Nic Weldon, Colten Mccracken, Matthew Mancini and Conor March all scored goals. The team faces Catoctin High School tonight at home at seven o’clock, come out and show your support.
