If you are a new member of the MHS Social Studies Honor Society, Rho Kappa, please come to a brief informational meeting in Ms. Purcell’s room 211 today after school.

Remember to bring in your donations of gently used or new books that will benefit children and adults who are illiterate in Frederick County and other areas in Maryland. The Science National Honor Society book drive continues through Friday, March fourth during all lunches. For every five books donated, your name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Brandt or Felicia Clements.

Seniors: Design this year’s Baccalaureate program cover! The theme is “peace” and all designs must be hand drawn and submitted by March seventh. Take a picture or scan your design and submit it to MHS B A C C 2016 at G mail dot com.

Two MHS students have placed in the Frederick County PTA Reflections Arts Competition. Ninth grader Grace Griffin placed first in the high school Visual Arts category, and tenth grader, Jay Harsch, placed second in the high school Film category. Both submissions will now move to the Maryland State level of competition. Congratulations to Grace and Jay!

Come out and support your knights as basketball playoff action begins this Friday when our girls take on Catoctin. The boys will play Monday night against the winner of the Catoctin – Walkersville game. Both games are at home at six PM. All tickets are six dollars and children under seven get in free.

We are almost to the end of National FFA week and we hope you have enjoyed celebrating  with us so far. We hope that you will continue to go all out with us and end on a strong note.

We hope you will join us tonight at Tractor supply on Mt. Zion from five to eight PM and help sell emblems. Don’t forget to bring in your donated care package items all this week. Donation boxes are located in the front office, cafeteria and Ag hallway. Help us brighten a soldier’s day!

Tomorrow is our last spirit day, Flannel Friday!!

Do you love movies like we do? Join us tomorrow in the Ag shop after school until three o’clock for snacks and a movie.

Ready for today’s trivia? Today’s trivia question is: What does the acronym “CDE” stand for?
