Attention MHS Teachers and Staff: Today is “Read to Kids Day”. Take a few minutes to read to your classroom. We all love to listen to a good story!

Do you have a great idea for a Seussical Character or a poem waiting to be written?  Pick up information from Ms. Leonard in Room 517 to enter the art and poetry contests.  The deadline for the entries is March thirtieth.

Attention students who are taking FCC classes at Middletown High next year: Your permission to test forms are due to Ms. Dillard by tomorrow, March fourth.

Congratulations to the boys basketball team who beat Williamsport last night with a score of sixty-two to fifty-two! Our team will go on to play in the 2A West Regional Final game tomorrow night at Oakland Mills at seven PM. Tickets are six dollars and go on sale starting at five thirty and space is limited, so plan to arrive earlier to support your knights. A special congratulations to Matt Considine who score his one thousandth point! Here is a video from that moment last night.

There will be a Unified Track informational meeting after school on Monday, March seventh in Mr. Bean’s Room 427.

Congratulations to Owen Migdal who finished third in the high school category in the county wide contest of Classmates for Life videos. Also congratulations to Freddy Roberts who was recognized as a finalist for his efforts. Dr. Terry Alban announced the contest winners and visitors watched the winning entries at last night’s Red Carpet Gala in Frederick.

Tomorrow during Activity Period, the Catoctin Creek Nature Center will be visiting in room 307 and talking about careers that involve animals, outdoors and all of nature. Come and see the animal pelts and skulls and much more including Madagascar hissing cockroaches,Vietnamese walking sticks, snakes, turtles and toads! To sign up, use the codes around the school or sign up during lunches in the cafeteria today.

On April 1st, the senior executive board will be hosting a powder puff game. If you are a senior and would like to participate order forms can be found on the senior class bulletin board in the cafeteria. Here is a video with more information.

Tomorrow is the last day to bring in new or gently used books for the Science National Honor Society book drive. Donations will be accepted during all lunches.
