The annual MHS food drive has begun! Find out what food items are being collected by your Block One class, and go shopping this weekend! Help out the community by stocking the Middletown Food Bank, and your class could win a donut and juice party.

The time for shadowing at the Career Tech Center has arrived.  Students in all grades can shadow a program between November seventh and February twenty-eighth.  Students will now see Ms. Anders in attendance to set up a shadow and may begin doing that immediately.  They should see her at lunch or after school.

Interns, SSL tutors and Work Study students are reminded that October timecards are due to Mr. Zimmer today.

All students planning on attending the New York Choral Performance field trip should return their completed forms to Mrs. Bower by tomorrow no later than two-thirty p.m.

All Tri-M Music Honor Society applicants should stop by the chorus room tomorrow to receive their assigned audition time for next week’s audition recital.  Please see Mrs. Bower if there is a conflict with your assigned time.

All State Choir audition times are posted in the chorus room for all Concert Choir and Vocal Ensemble members.

New books have just arrived at the MHS Media Center! Have you been waiting to read Perfect, the latest by Ellen Hopkins, author of Crank? We have it! If you’ve finished Divergent and are ready for the sequel, Insurgent, we have that too! Stop by the library and check out our new titles.

National Art Honor Society members pick up your pumpkin creations from the media center after-school today. Pumpkins that remain will be disposed of.

The National Security Agency’s Gifted and Talented Program is open to high school seniors, and the deadline to apply is November fifteenth. The program is designed for high school students who have demonstrated an aptitude for Engineering, Math and Science. Please see the MHS website for more information, or stop by the School Counseling Office.

Boys Basketball will be holding open gym today right after school from two-thirty to four-thirty.

All wrestlers please return your Uncle Ralph cookie forms and your wrestling yellow packet to Coach Schartner in room 511 as soon as possible.  Thank you.

Any boy who is interested in trying out for the Swimming and Diving team this winter should stop by and pick up a packet from Ms. Rogers room. The paperwork must be turned in before the first practice date of November fifteenth. This includes a current Physical. Stop by today and pick up the packet so you are ready to practice.
