If you are interested in shadowing a program at Career and Technology Center, please see Mrs. Anders in the attendance office between classes, during lunch or after school to put in your request.  You may choose up to two programs to shadow.  CTC will be adding the Teacher Academy in the fall of 2016.  They will not be shadowing for that program, so if you are  interested in the Teacher Academy  just put in an application.  Current applications will be available on CTC’s website on Nov. 3rd.

Auditions for the Frederick County Public Schools All County Band, Choir, and Orchestra are coming up soon. If you would like to audition, see Mr. Shearer or check the music bulletin board for more information. The deadline to sign up for auditions is Oct. 12th.

All new and returning members of the science national honor society must complete an application form and submit it to Mrs. Brandt by Nov. 2nd. Returning members do not need teacher recommendation forms. Application materials can be found on the Science National Honor Society board in the cafeteria.

Attention seniors: Senior superlative voting ends on Friday. Turn in your completed forms outside Room 312. Be sure to sign your ballot. Ballots without signatures will not be counted. If you did not receive a form at lunch, stop by Room 312 to pick one up.

Keep voting for your homecoming king and queen and prince and princesses! Voting ends today at 1:00 p.m.

Dance Form Guidelines are available.  You need a signed dance form guideline when purchasing your homecoming ticket.  Forms are located on the Student Government Association board in the cafeteria and on the front lobby welcome board.

The FCPS All-County Marching Band Festival is Monday, October twelfth at Urbana High School. Bands from all 10 FCPS high schools will perform followed by a show from the Shepherd University Ram Band. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the first band performs at 6:00 p.m.

Are you interested in trying out for the Girls Swimming and Diving Team? There will be a brief informational meeting on Monday, Oct. 12th in Room 207 at 2:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in being the Student Member of the Maryland State Board of Education, please see Mrs. Barlow in room 215 for information.

Come support Field Hockey at the “Play for the Cure” pink game today at Middletown High School at 4:00 p.m. and remember to wear your pink!
Congratulations to the JV football team who beat the Brunswick Railroaders 58-0 and improved their record to four and one!
