Valentine’s Day is fast approaching.  The sophomore class will begin selling cookie grams tomorrow at lunch.  Send your special someone a sweet treat.

Congratulations to the MHS Academic team who won a hard fought match last night over Brunswick and Tuscarora!

Please remember that all second semester schedule change requests must be given to counselors by Friday, February fifth.

There will be a preseason Softball meeting Thursday, February fourth at two forty-five on the balcony in the gym.   All interested softball players are encouraged to attend

Are you interested in writing the next great American novel?  Do you have questions about what kind of career you can pursue with an English degree?  There is so much you can learn by listening to an author who can share her experience as a writer.  This Friday during Activity Period, you have the opportunity to hear an author discuss her experiences and to discuss careers in writing. Be sure to sign up this week by using the Q R codes that are posted around the school.

Are you fascinated by the field of Aviation and would like to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes in the aviation world?  You can learn more about what an airframe and powerplant avionics technician does.  This Friday during Activity Period, you have this opportunity to meet with someone from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.  Please be sure to sign up this week so that you can attend.

The Braddock Heights Swim Team is looking for a student who would be able to help update and maintain the swim team’s website.  Students who help can earn meritorious service hours.  Please see Mr. Zimmer in room 315 for more information.

Anyone interested in trying out for the Boys Lacrosse Team this spring should attend a very important meeting on Wednesday, February third at six PM in the Media Center.  We will be going over important paperwork and information about the upcoming season.  

If you are interested in trying out for the girls lacrosse team, please make sure that you provide your contact information to Coach Martin in room 422A.

The deadline for the USA M R I I D Internship has been extended to Thursday, February fourth.  Please submit your application to Mrs. Gibson in Room 315 by Thursday at the end of the day. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gibson.  

Congratulations to the boys varsity basketball team who beat TJ last night with a score of sixty-four to fifty-three. The boys varsity is now thirteen and two for the season!
