Attention Quill and Scroll members: There will be a short meeting today at two twenty in Room 312. If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. Kady on Wednesday for any information you missed.

Attention juniors: If you are interested in participating in Boy’s or Girl’s state this summer, please sign up outside Ms. Bagnell’s office in the Counseling Center. This is a prestigious, week-long program run by the American Legion that gives students an opportunity to learn about state and local governments and create their own initiatives. Boy’s State is at McDaniel College and Girl’s state is at Salisbury.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, known as ASVAB, will be offered at Oakdale High School on Tuesday, February tenth. If you are interested in taking this test, sign up in the counseling center by Friday, February sixth.

Attention National Honor Society Students: The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February eleventh. Please pick up a t-shirt order form outside of Room 217. T-shirt order forms are due by February eleventh. See the bulletin board in cafeteria for other announcements.

Students: Don’t forget! Registration forms for next year are due to your first period teacher no later than Friday, February sixth.

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. Have you ever wanted to tell your friend how much you appreciate them? Share your feelings with your secret crush? Now you can! During all lunch shifts this week, the senior class will be providing free valentines for you to show your love and appreciation for your friends. These valentines will be posted in the cafeteria. Stop by the school store to fill out your valentine.

Attention FFA members: C D E Sign-ups are now posted in the Ag classrooms and on the FFA board. If you have any questions, please talk to Mrs. Shriner or Mrs. Seiser. C D Es are a great way to compete and get involved in the chapter. Competitions include: Food Science, Horticulture, Milk Quality and Products, and horse judging. Horse Judging will have their orientation and first practice on February ninth, from two-thirty to three-thirty.

The MHS Drama Department will be performing a One-act Play Festival this weekend. Students will present four one-acts including comedy, suspense, and even a few surprises. Show times are Friday and Saturday at seven PM and Sunday at two PM. Ticket prices are ten dollars for adults and eight dollars for students and will be on sale in the school cafeteria during all lunches, Wednesday through Friday, and at the door before each show.
