If you are interested in shadowing a program at the Career and Technology Center, please stop by the attendance office to sign up.  Don’t delay, spaces are filling up fast and you don’t want to miss out!

Christmas is just around the corner and there are many families in our area that will not have a Christmas this year unless we help.  So far, the Middletown Valley People Helping People organization has only heard from two groups at Middletown High School who are adopting a family this year.  If you, your group, or your club want to help, please contact MVPHP or see Mrs. Anders in the attendance office and she will contact MVPHP for you.

As we head into colder weather, make sure your vehicle is ready and please allow yourself a few extra minutes in the morning to scrape the car windows or to give the defroster time to work.  Remember that car trouble is not an excusable reason to be late to school, so prepare now for the colder months ahead!

Students who were invited to attend the awards ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 4, are reminded to meet in the cafeteria at 3:30 p.m. before the ceremony.

Seniors: The counseling office has started to collect your baby pictures for the graduation board at the end of the year.  Please turn them in to Ms. Dillard in the School Counseling Center.

Juniors and seniors: The following colleges will be visiting Middletown: Salisbury, The University of Pittsburgh, University of Delaware, The Temple – A Paul Mitchell Partner School, Frederick Community College, US Naval Academy and Stratford. If you are interested in attending and learning more about the colleges, please sign up through Naviance.

Congratulations to the golf team on their performance yesterday.  The team improved on their first day score and shot a 315, which is a Middletown single day state record, to hold on and finish second at the MPSSAA State Tournament. The team was led by senior Jake Darr who shot a round of 70.  Freshman Joey Weiland followed up with a 74, which was four shots better than his first round score.  Junior Andrew Heon shot 80 and Nick DeSimone shot 91 for a team combined two day score of 639. Congratulations Knights on  a wonderful season!

MHS field hockey won their sectionals yesterday against Century with a score of one to zero with a goal from Andrea Kendrick and assist from Tess Queen. The team will be playing against Poolesville in the regional finals on Wednesday. Good luck girls! Rock on with your season!
