The MHS Ice Hockey team finished their season with a record of eleven and one and is currently ranked fourth in the state! Their first playoff game is next Friday at Skate Frederick.

Attention current Quill and Scroll members and those interested in joining Quill and Scroll this semester: Today’s meeting has been postponed until next Wednesday, February tenth, at two-thirty in room 312. If you are interested in joining Quill and Scroll, you should attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. Kady before that date.

Students interested in next year’s jazz band and vocal ensemble should contact Mr. Shearer to set up an audition.

The Middletown wrestliers won their matches over the weekend defeating Mountain Ridge and Liberty.  The wrestling team defeated Walkersville last night and the team record is now twenty-four and one.  Middletown wrestles Saturday against Catoctin and Frederick at Catoctin at one PM.

Send a special someone a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day.  Starting today, the sophomore executive board will be selling cookie grams during all lunches. Cookie Grams are one dollar and will be delivered on Friday, February twelfth.

It’s registration time and the business department is here for you! Business is the number one major selected by incoming college freshmen and we want you to first take advantage of the business courses offered here at MHS. The Business Department is hosting a game during registration time. Now through Friday, [hold $]  look for dollar signs hidden around the building. If you find one please bring it to Mr. Roark in room 424 or Mrs. Roberts in room 423 to claim your prize – only one prize per student. Stop by if you have any questions about our course offerings and what might work best for you!

Would you like to see what a jet engine really looks like?  Curiosity is about learning. Sign up to attend the STEM session presented by the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.  The presentation will be in Room 517 during Activity Day.

Considering writing a novel?  Be sure to sign up for the STEM presentation this Friday and meet an author.

Science National Honor Society students interested in volunteering at the Middletown Elementary School STEM night need to see Mrs. Brandt in room 307 to sign up.  This is on a first-come basis.

Anyone interested in trying out for the Boys Lacrosse Team this spring should attend a meeting tonight at six PM in the Media Center.  

If you are interested in trying out for the girls lacrosse team, please give your contact information to Coach Martin in room 422A.

There will be a preseason Softball meeting tomorrow at two forty-five on the balcony in the gym.   All interested softball players are encouraged to attend

The deadline for the USA M R I I D Internship has been extended through tomorrow.  Please submit your application to Mrs. Gibson in Room 315 by Thursday at the end of the day.
