Students interested in the Fort Detrick National Cancer Institute Internship Program should attend the information meeting on Monday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 436.  There will be current Interns there to answer questions as well as instructions for the Online Application Process.  Please see Mrs. Gibson with questions.

Attention all instrumentalists and vocalists:  The fall awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4.  We are looking for individuals or groups to perform the national anthem and musical selections during the ceremony.  If you are interested in performing the national anthem or a musical selection of your choice, please see Mr. Shearer as soon as possible.

If you are interested in shadowing a program at Career and Technology Center, please see Mrs. Anders in the attendance office to put in your request.  You may choose up to two programs to shadow.  CTC will be adding the Teacher Academy in the fall of 2016.  They will not be shadowing for that program so if you are  interested in the Teacher Academy,  just put in an application.  Applications will become available on CTC’s website on the first day of shadowing which is Nov. 3.

Photo retakes and makeups are tomorrow at the back level of the auditorium. Please check the schedules posted on the yearbook bulletin board in the senior hallway, the media bulletin board next to Room 312, or on the glass case outside the auditorium doors. If you have questions, please see Mr. Kady in Room 312.

Any freshmen who ordered t-shirts can pick up your shirts in Mrs. Anderson’s room, 516.

If you would like to try out for the 2016 Girls Lacrosse team in the spring, please stop by Coach Martin’s room, 422A, today after school.

Information is now available for The  2016 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest from Ms. Leonard in Room 517.  The deadline is Jan. 6 and there are cash awards.

Play It Safe is a nationally recognized drug and alcohol abuse prevention project developed for high school graduates who decide to celebrate their graduation in Ocean City, Maryland. Students are invited to create the design that will be used for the 2016 Play It Safe project. The winning design will appear on thousands of promotional brochures, posters, and t-shirts and the winner will receive one hundred dollars. For contest rules, go to Play it safe ocean city dot com. Entries must be postmarked no later than Oct. 30.
