Do you crave to support your local community but don’t know where to start? Are you interested in volunteering by serving food or making ceramic bowls?
On March 20th, come down to Baltimore to raise funds for the impoverished, hungry and/or homeless populations at St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s 19th Annual Empty Bowls. Every year the Empty Bowls project contributes to the necessities and wellness of citizens, by creating beautiful hand-made ceramic bowls, decorated with fun colors and crafted with love and respect.
In 2024, St. Vincent de Paul’s 22 programs provided over one million nutritious meals to those in need, proving the length of dedication and compassion for communities that required supportive services and emergency food. By partnering and being apart of this organization, you too can be just as virtuous and experience giving back to your community.
Highlighted jobs offered on the SVDP website include: making 1,500+ hand-painted ceramic bowls and over 75 volunteer opportunities, as well as fundraising and sponsorships available to provide the 5,000+ meals a day.
At the end of the Empty Bowls event, you and other families or attendees can take one of the beautifully crafted bowls as a symbol of the hunger and homelessness struggles that people face everyday in this community.
