Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals, two of the NFL’s top teams last year, both lost their week one games due to their kickers, Graham Gano and Chandler Catanzaro respectively missing field goals.
Many Middletown High School students believe that these kickers should be replaced.
Maura Wimsatt, MHS junior, said, “Maybe they should get new kickers, because if they’re losing games when everyone else is doing their job, then maybe they should try a second stringer.”
Ethan Satterlee, MHS junior, believes that the kickers just need more accuracy training.
MHS sophomore Julia Lewis, believe the kickers will not yet be fired, but they need to improve.
“The kickers will need to do a good job,” she said.
