Boys basketball: Knights look to upset Oakdale on the road

The Middletown High School boys’ basketball team (0-19) will head to Oakdale (15-2) tonight. The Knights will attempt to get their first win against an Oakdale team that is amongst the top in the state. Middletown is coming off a 62-33 blowout loss to Urbana in which MHS junior Ben Panther led the Knights with nine points.  Oakdale will be looking to avenge their second loss of the season, this time against Tuscarora (15-2). Oakdale received strong contributions from, arguably, the county’s top player, junior Zach Thomas who finished with 21 points, and Clay Conner who finished with 15. This will be a tough game for the Knights, but they finish up the season on an easier note with back-to-back home games against Williamsport and Brunswick, respectively.
