Boys basketball looks for first win as they host Williamsport

The Middletown High School boys basketball team (0-20) will be hosting Williamsport (11-9) this Wednesday, in attempt to get their first win of the season. These next two games for the Knights are the easiest of the season as they will take also on Brunswick (11-9) on Friday night.

The Knights are coming off a 67-40 loss to county powerhouse Oakdale (17-3) on the road, where junior Zach Thomas shredded the knight’s defense for 20 points and junior Clay Conner had 12 points and five steals.

MHS senior Ian Grife and junior Ben Panther went for 12 and 10 points respectively.

Williamsport is coming off a 41-32 win against rival Boonsboro (7-13). The Cougars received strong contributions from senior Nick Johnson who finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds, and junior Sterling Christy who finished with 16 points.
