The Middletown High School girls cross country team held its banquet at
Middletown United Methodist Church on Nov. 28. The girls celebrated an end
to a successful season with their family, friends and coaches. The varsity team
members were presented with a pin or letter for their hard work throughout the
season. Sophomore Natalie Smith earned an award for, “Runner of the Year,”
along with freshman Brittany Levine for, “Best New Runner.” Captains, senior
Megan Fakult and Casey Zanowicz addressed the team with some funny tidbits and
highlights about the teams’ time together. Coach Tom Stevens added some closing
remarks for the banquet. The night concluded with a video recap of some of the seasons most memorable moments.
