Girls cross country pushes the limits

By Casey Lammers
Round Table reporter

This season the girl’s cross country team has put together new plans to become better and stronger runners. Every practice, they push the limits and strive to be the strongest runners that they can be.

“We are running a lot and working on our form,” said captain Elizabeth Clampet, “We are all just trying to be our best and improve everyday.”

Captain Julia Karcewski also reflects on not only the physical demands of the sport but the mental ones as well.

“It’s an honor, because its great to bring the team together and being captain requires a lot of leading because cross country is such a mental sport,” said Karcewski.

The team has already competed in two meets that they placed ninth in the Mount St. Mary’s invitational and third place at Mountain run. “I think Century will be our biggest opponent,” said Clampet.

It appears that with all the hard work and determination that this team presents, they have a good shot at attending and possibly winning states.
