The Middletown High School varsity baseball team hosted the rival Walkersville Lions March 20 to kick off the season, winning 8-3. Matt McConaughey hit a solo home run, and Andrew Pierce had three hits and three runs for the Knights, and Collin Maye picked up the win as the starting pitcher. JV plays a double header March 21, against Catoctin. The first game starts at 11 am, the second at 1 pm.
