On April 27th, 2018, Kim Jong Un crossed the DMZ and shook hands with the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-In. Both countries “solemnly declared” an end to the Korean War which helped ease tensions between the two countries. North Korea agreed to set their time zone forward 30 minutes to match South Korea’s as a symbol of unity.
